it seems there was some damage repaired on the boxster and there is a little patch of rust on the underside that needs to be treated
Drivers side roof seal has partially sperated from the metal structure and needs to be corrected there is a little felt/rubber inner seal that seals against the inside of the window - this looks to have broken off at the very end and is a little loose - makes a little wind noise while driving at high speed with roof up
Brake fluid is old and needs to be flushed
interior needs a deep clean after previous owner
The 987 Boxster's intermediate shaft bearing and cooling system are known weak points at higher mileages. With 144,000 km, unknown service history, and no technical data recorded, a full coolant flush and hose/thermostat inspection is critical to prevent overheating and costly engine damage. Triggered by date due 2026-06-15 and odometer due at 144000.
With unknown service history and 144,000 km on the 987's 2.7L or 3.2L flat-six, spark plugs are likely overdue and worn plugs can cause misfires and increased engine wear. Regular replacement supports reliable daily-driver use and protects the engine long-term. Triggered by date due 2026-06-15 and odometer due at 144000.
The 987 Boxster's gearbox and rear differential fluid is often neglected and with no service history available at this mileage, degraded fluid can accelerate wear on synchros and bearings. Servicing this now establishes a reliable baseline for a daily-driven reliability-focused build. Triggered by date due 2026-06-15 and odometer due at 144000.
Scheduled maintenance Triggered by odometer due at 145000.

Tyres are from 2019 so about 7 years old - prob need an update - the steering vibrates at time while driving at speed - had the wheels balanced but it’s still agppening
Front tyre size for 987 Boxster. Already ordered rears (265/40 R18) per Euromaster order NL3694987 — these are the matching fronts. SportContact 7 is an excellent OE-grade choice for the 987.
Always replace valve stems when fitting new tyres on a 7-year-old set. Rubber degrades and can cause slow leaks — especially relevant given the repeated tyre pressure corrections noted in APK records (2025 and 2026).
Persistent steering vibration at speed despite previous balancing suggests possible wheel/tyre runout or poor-quality weights. New tyres with fresh precision balancing should resolve this — ask fitter to use road-force balancing if available.
The APK records show tyre pressure corrections at both the 2025 and 2026 inspections. If TPMS sensors are fitted, replace the rubber seals and valve cores when mounting new tyres — sensors are ~7 years old and seals harden. Prevents slow leaks and false warnings.
Rear tyres for 987 Boxster — already ordered per Euromaster confirmation NL 3694987 (26 Jun 2026). 265/40 R18 is the correct OEM rear size. Pair included here as a tracking reference; confirm fitment appointment at Euromaster Amsterdam Zuidoost.
Persistent high-speed steering vibration after balancing strongly suggests worn front wheel bearings on this 142,000 km car. No bearing replacement is recorded in the full service history. SKF or FAG aftermarket units are reliable and significantly cheaper than OEM. Have both sides inspected; replace as a pair if worn.
Worn outer tie rod ends are a common cause of high-speed steering shimmy on the 987 and have never been replaced per the service history. Moog or Lemförder aftermarket units are OEM-equivalent quality. Replace before or alongside the new tyre fitting — new tyres will highlight any remaining play.
Worn strut top mounts and their bearings cause vibration and steering wander at speed on the 987, especially at this mileage. No replacement is on record. Febi or OEM units recommended. Ships to NL; alternatively available via Rennsport Breda who already service this car.
A 4-wheel alignment is already included in the Euromaster order (Uitlijn combideal, EUR 95). With 7-year-old tyres removed and new rubber fitted, alignment must be reset — especially if tie rod ends or suspension components are replaced. Confirm the alignment is done after all suspension work, not before.
Scheduled maintenance Triggered by date due 2026-06-30 and odometer due at 145000.
With 145,100 km on a 21-year-old 987 Boxster used as a daily driver, rubber bushings, ball joints, tie rod ends, and shock absorbers are subject to age-related deterioration regardless of service history. No suspension inspection is recorded in the available service history, and no existing job or schedule item covers this. An annual check helps catch worn components before they compromise handling or safety. Triggered by odometer due at 148000.
The car has been maintained according to Porsche recommended service intervals.
