Suspension Alignment & Corner Weighting Setup
With weight reduction underway and a sub-2:00 Zandvoort lap target, the chassis needs to be properly set up to exploit the reduced mass. A track-focused alignment with aggressive camber (front -2.5° to -3.0°, rear -1.5° to -2.0°), reduced toe, and corner weighting will dramatically improve turn-in response, mid-corner balance, and overall lap consistency. This is one of the highest ROI modifications available — free speed without spending on hardware.

Parts
Essential for achieving -2.5° to -3.0° front camber targets. OEM eccentric bolts have limited range; these aftermarket units provide wider adjustment. Fit the front strut bottom pinch bolt location. Buy 2 sets (one per side).
Powerflex Black Series rear camber adjustment kit specifically for E46. Allows dialling in -1.5° to -2.0° rear camber as targeted. UK-based manufacturer, fast delivery, excellent track record on E46 builds.
Budget-friendly toe plates / string alignment aids for home setup checks between professional alignments. Demon Tweeks stocks a wide range and ships same-day from Wrexham. Useful for verifying toe hasn't shifted after track sessions.
With aggressive camber changes, standard drop links can bind or sit at incorrect angles, affecting ARB effectiveness. Whiteline adjustable end links allow correct geometry to be maintained after ride height and camber changes. Critical for corner weighting consistency.
After finalising alignment and corner weight settings, all eccentric bolts and camber arm adjustment points must be torqued and thread-locked to prevent drift under track loads. Loctite 243 is the correct medium-strength grade for suspension fasteners. Available same-day from multiple London ECP branches.
